with the VG30DETT, it takes less mods to get huge numbers because it's already turbocharged. Making an NA engine (350) forced induction is a lot more difficult and costs a lot more. The VG will also last a hell of a lot longer and get better gas milage. For pure racing, yeah, the 350 is good (and maybe that's why Nascar and just about every racing organization uses them - including F1 who uses very highly modified ones reving to ~13k rpms or so), but I'd still prefer to have my VG30DETT in a daily driven street car.
